Our canvas bags are not waterproof or water resistant as canvas is a woven material. To prevent stains or water damage, you may Scotchgard your canvas bag. We chose not to have our manufacturer apply a canvas protectant spray during production because it is a chemical treatment—and our goal with the our canvas goods is to keep the material as natural and minimally processed as possible. By leaving the canvas untreated, we give each customer the option to decide whether or not to apply a protectant based on their personal use and preferences.

We advise spot cleaning an inconspicuous spot first as a tester. We do not recommend machine washing our canvas bags as this could damage the leather or leather trimming as well as any hardware.
